Obituary for Bernhard "Bernie" R. Wechkus

Bernhard “Bernie” R. Wechkus, 76, of Seaside Park, NJ died on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at Brick Hospital. Born in Somerville, NJ he spent his early childhood in Finderne, NJ prior to moving to Seaside Park where he was raised. Bernie graduated from Toms River High School in 1959. He proudly served in the US Airforce. Bernie retired after 25 years as a bus driver from the Toms River School System. He went to work as a driver for Point Lobster for 17 years. Bernie is predeceased by his parents George and Hortense; Surviving is his wife of 50 years Loretta; son Brian of Marlton, NJ; two daughters Rebecca Tomasello of Ocean, NJ and Brenda Vinai of Bayville, NJ; his brother George of South Seaside Park, NJ.; and five Granddaughters. Services for Bernie are private and under the direction of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 809 Central Ave. Seaside Park, NJ.
